List of duties and responsibilities of the research center

  • Performing scientific and research studies , practical inquiries and development in the area of management and experimental systems , material and stuff manufacturing , production and manufacturing of required machinery for water and wastewater industry
  • Investigation and study of norms , criteria and operational standards and national as well as international equipment which are necessary for companies
  • Executive management of standard codification operations for the industry and following toward approval of codified standards
  • Collaboration in providing executive areas and standard usage at the level of subgroup companies
  • Collaboration in systematizing and promotion of companies' efficiency via performing supervising activities in order to using the standards
  • Offering and reviewing national codified standards along with the updating of international standards
  • Detecting the problems related to not performing the standards and providing the instruction of using them for cases in which not any national standard is codified for them
  • Performing studies of technical and economical justification for surrendering the existing depended industries
  • Adopting necessary tactics for quality controlling in order to protecting products in accordance with international standards
  • Determining appropriate technology for water and wastewater filtration , and collaboration with standard institution in codification of water and wastewater standards
  • Surveying capabilities of manufacturing machinery and establishing exhibitions of required industrial products
  • Performing duties related to self-sufficiency in water and wastewater industries such as ; detecting capabilities of manufacturers and sellers of goods and raw materials - which are required for provincial companies - , programming for creating new industrial capacities and surrendering depended industries to the private sector .
  • Quality control of contracting companies' productions and keeping the quality of purchased products in accordance with international standards
  • Performing duties which are related to common munition and services of companies as well as following for receiving after sale services from sellers .
  • Presenting offers in relation with standards required for the industry
  • Management of performing the operation of codifying required standards with supervision of Iran Standard And Industrial Researches Institution .
  • Following towards approval of codified standards
  • Management of performing the reviewing operations and standard approvals

Researches

Performing scientific studies and practical as well as developmental researches in different areas related to water and wastewater industry such as

  • Experimental system in water and wastewater area
  • Manufacturing the required material and stuff in water and wastewater industry
  • Manufacturing , production and improvement of different required machineries and systems in water and wastewater filtration , pumping systems and reservoirs.
  • Performing surveys and studies to determine appropriate technology in the area of water and wastewater filtration , water and wastewater networks , pumping systems of reservoirs and etc.
  • Performing practical experiments on machinery samples and water and wastewater filtration systems , pumping systems , and evaluation of their compatibility with continental conditions of the country
  • Collaboration with standard and industrial research institution in providing and codification of quality standards for machineries , tools and required systems for water and wastewater industry
  • Investigation on machinery and spare parts manufacturing capabilities for systems related to water and wastewater refineries and justifying their being economic.
  • Establishing permanent exhibition of industrial goods which are required for water and wastewater company and inviting artisans and industry owners for production and investment
  • Investigating modern water and wastewater filtration systems and preparing reports of feasibility study for renewing and substitution of existing systems and trying to encourage water and wastewater companies for renewing investments.

Detecting and updating information

 

Detecting and updating information related to raw material supplying industries , industrial systems , pipe and valves , and evaluating their industrial power for meeting the needs of water and wastewater industry in existing and future situations such as

  • Programming for creating new industrial capacities in order to meet the needs of water and wastewater industry
  • Trying for introduction and attracting internal capitals in order to establishment and development of supplying industries for water and wastewater industrial needs
  • Determining the proportion of private sector , and water and wastewater companies and the role of aids which are to be delivered by government
  • The situation of industries' ownership
  • The proportion of industries in supplying internal needs
  • Value of imports and their process
  • Detecting and estimation of water and wastewater companies' needs in relation to major procurement items
  • Estimating needs of water and wastewater companies in relation with different industrial goods and the process of its increment and determining the lacks and existing and future straits
  • Investigating about the resources of supplying major procurement items and performing necessary negotiations with sellers in order to get maximum discounts caused by major purchases
  • Signing a contract and catching the purchase order from water and wastewater companies
  • Performing insurance and transportation affairs for purchased products
  • Following and resolving interim problems of water and wastewater companies as well as product sellers
  • Following to receive after sales service from seller companies to water and wastewater companies

  • Organizational structure of existing situation of the unit

Organizational executive structure of existing situation is in accordance with the company approved structure . At the moment , the center of research and industrial self - efficiency is active in three sections of research and standards , industrial self-efficiency and international communications .
